About Our Name: The Beatles hated taxes, too! George Harrison wrote the song “Taxman,” which was released as the opening track on The Beatles’ 1966 album, Revolver. Its lyrics attack the high levels of progressive tax (98%) imposed by the British Labour government under Harold Wilson.
